Our Fields of Work
Our agenda includes combating oppression and violence against women and children in many countries. Such social transgressions jeopardize our efforts of fighting poverty.
We provide information on the following pages about different forms of gender-based violence, the international conventions that protect the rights of women and children, and finally our global development goals.
In particular, we strive to protect girls from genital mutilation because such abuse not only harms the individual but also has several long term emotional and physical impacts. Protecting girls against such violence is not only a measure of effective and sustainable cooperation but also a human rights issue.
We face many challenges in our Burkina Faso project but they do not stop us from continuing the work we have begun. Our goal is to create education opportunities and strengthen female empowerment through literacy and social participation.
